In August 2014, Cambridge University Press published the volume „Best Practices for Spoken Corpora in Linguistic Research”, edited by Şükriye Ruhi, Michael Haugh, Thomas Schmidt und Kai Wörner.The book is based on a workshop of the same title at LREC 2012 in Istanbul. It comprises fourteen contributions dealing, from methodological as well as technical perspectives, with good practices in the compilation, maintenance, analysis, publication and archiving of oral corpora. Among the projects represented in the book are the Australian National Corpus, the Database of Spoken German, the reference corpus of contemporary Czech, the language archive of the MPI in Nijmegen and the Hamburg Centre for Language Corpora.
