It was twenty years ago today

Maybe not exactly today, but the pictured piece of evidence suggests that version 1.0 of the EXMARaLDA Partitur-Editor was first distributed to users in CD form about 20 years ago. In the 20 years since, version 1.0 of the Partitur-Editor has developed into a tool set with seven different transcription, annotation, corpus management and analysis tools, which is used in many different ways in research, study and teaching. EXMARaLDA is currently looking for a new model to continue maintenance, support and further development of the software. More on this soon. Now it is time to celebrate — after all, it’s company vacations. Thanks to all the users who have helped EXMARaLDA to grow into an adult, and thanks to Jochen Rehbein for the foresight to initiate this project in 2000.
