- Archiv für Gesprochenes Deutsch (AGD)The ´Archive for Spoken German´ is the central collecting point for spoken German corpora in the department of pragmatics in the German Language Institute in Mannheim. Some EXMARaLDA tools are used for preparing the corpora for research and teaching.
- Aston Corpus of West Midlands English (ACWME)A corpus that documents dialects of English in the West Midlands by using local performances (comedy, poetry slam, etc.).
- Beijing SoundsA Blog dealing with the Beijing dialect of Mandarin. Some spoken language examples were created with EXMARaLDA.
- Berlin Map Task Corpus (BeMaTaC)A map task corpus with spoken native and learner language (inspired by HaMaTaC)
from the Humboldt University in Berlin. - Bildung durch Sprache und Schrift Education Through Language and Writing (BiSS)´Education through language and writing´, a research and development program to exchange experiences and implement co-ordinated language education measures.
- Bildungsprozesse, Kompetenzentwicklung und Selektionsentscheidungen im Vor- und Grundschulalter (BiKS)Research group ´Educational processes, competence development and selection decisions in pre- and primary school age´. Some projects in the BiKS group use EXMARaLDA to build up a corpus of recordings from kindergarten and elementary school.
- Bochumer Korpus der gesprochenen Sprache im Ruhrgebiet (Bochum Corpus of Spoken Language in the Ruhr region, KgSR)A project at the University of Bochum (re)transcribing recordings made in the Ruhr region at the beginning of the 1980s.
- Computergestütztes Transkribieren von Videodaten (Computer-aided transcribing of video data)A teaching project of the ‘Lehrlabor Universitätskolleg’ at the University of Hamburg.
- Daily InterpreterA PhD project on the training of Community Interpreters comparing “real” and “didactic” interpretations recorded in Italian and Belgian institutions, which uses Exmaralda to transcribe “real” and “fake” doctor-interpreter-patient interactions.
- Database for transcripts (DAT)A project at the University of Mannheim building an MS ACCESS based transcription database compatible with EXMARaLDA.
- Deutsch in Österreich (DiÖ) A joint project initiated to research and document the variation and varieties of German in Austria.
- Deutsch und Dänisch bei Nordschleswigdeutschen Schülern A project at the Christian-Albrecht-University Kiel.
- Dialogisches Lesen als Tool für eine wirksame Praxis der Sprachförderung in Kindertagesstätten (DiaLes)The goal is the generation of empirically based teaching material for kindergarten teachers in multilingual nursery schools.

- Fehlerannotiertes Lernerkorpus (‘error-annotated learner corpus’, Falko)A corpus of (written) learner language with error annotations from the Humboldt University in Berlin.
- Forschungsinitiative Sprachdiagnostik und Sprachförderung (FiSS)Several projects in the FiSS research initiative use EXMARaLDA for the investigation of language competence in children and adolescents with a special emphasis on the specific requirements in educational institutions.
- Forschungs- und Lehrkorpus Gesprochenes Deutsch (‘Research and Teaching Corpus of Spoken German’, FOLK)A project at the Institute for German Language in Mannheim constructing a balanced corpus of spoken German.
- Gelingende Kommunikation im Alter Europäische Fachhochschule Brühl (Ge-Kom)The project focuses on communication between different generations in corporations and the social life.
- Gesprächstranskripte für die Lehre: Korpusaufbau und -aufbereitung im curricularen Kontext (Conversation transcriptions for lessons)A project at the University Düsseldorf. A learner and curriculum specific digital corpus with transcribed conversations is being developed, as a data basis for seminars at the German Studies Department IV and for student empirical analysis.

- Indigenous Northern Eurasian Languages (INEL)The project „Grammar, Corpora and Speech Technology for Indigenous Northern Eurasian Languages” uses the EXMARaLDA-System to generate linguistic data, that will be permanently accessible online.

- Interaktives Annotieren von Unterrichtskommunikation (Interactive annotation of teaching communication)This project is based on a corpus, that entails interactive annotations of videodata within transdisciplinary student tandems.
- Jugendsprache im Längsschnitt (JuSpiL)A project at the Free University of Berlin investigating adolescents’ language.
- KicktionaryA multilingual electronic football dictionary based partly on a corpus of spoken language transcriptions (see the spoken examples section). Transcription and annotation of the spoken part of the corpus was done with EXMARaLDA.
- Kiezdeutsch Corpus (KiDKo)A corpus of Kiezdeutsch, a multiethnolect spoken in urban Germany, which contains naturally occurring speech based on self-recordings of adolescents.
- Laboratorium “Empirische Linguistik und Lautsprachanalyse” (ELLSA) ELLSA is a laboratory at the University Hamburg, that provides the infrastructure for scientific work in the area of empirical and spoken language oriented Linguistics. It works closely with the HZSK.

A Multimodal Corpus of Speech-based User-Companion Interactions. - Literacy between Languages and Cultures: Resource and Obstacle to Integration (LiLaC)A project at the University of Dortmund “investigating the effects of specific types of (subtractive) multilingualism and identity construction on the attainment of literacy in German as a second language” (quote from the website). EXMARaLDA is used for transcription of narrative interviews.

- Mehrsprachigkeitsentwicklung im Zeitverlauf (MeZ)A project at the Hamburg University, with focus on the development of multilingualism over time.
- METU NCC Spoken Turkish Cypriot Dialect CorpusA project at METU North Cyprus constructing a corpus analogous to ODT-SDT for the Turkish dialects spoken in Cyprus.
- METU Spoken Turkish Corpus (ODT-STD)A project at the Middle Eastern Technical University in Ankara constructing a large corpus of Turkish in natural interaction.
- ModiKoA project at the RWTH Aachen University. The project focus on modality interdependencies in professional inter-situational interactions (industrial process modeling), that present cooperative concept genesis.
- Multilingualism and Multiculturalism in University Studies (MuMiS)A project at the Universities of Siegen, Hamburg and Kassel working on the conception, implementation and evaluation of measures for quality development in university teaching.
- MULTILITThe binational MULTILIT project (Potsdam, Lyon, Rouen) investigates the linguistic competence of multilingual pupils in Germany (Berlin) and France (Lyon and Paris).
- Multimedia Corpus of Spoken BulgarianThe Multimedia Corpus of Spoken Bulgarian is a collection of language resources consisting of a set of digital audio and video data and a corresponding set of transcripts.

A research project at the Hamburg University for studying the almost extinct uralic language Nganasan. - Niederdeutsch in Hamburg (NiH)
A project of the German Institute at the Hamburg University. - NUCOI Corpus
A nucleus of interactive (inter-)cultural communication studies at the UFMG (Federal University Minas Gerais). It offers a brazilian portuguese corpus, created with EXMARaLDA. - Oral history project ArchiMob
A project from the University of Zurich, for the analysis of the German varieties spoken on the territory of Switzerland. - PolDi – a Polish Diachronic Online CorpusA project at the University of Regensburg which makes a diachronic corpus of Polish available online.
- Private Ducal Correspondences in Early Modern GermanyPrivate correspondences of early modern Saxon dukes and duchesses since John Frederick the Magnanimous (1503-1554) were digitized, transcribed in full text and annotated, their metadata were recorded in a database.
- Projeto Fala Bracarense A sociolinguistic corpus for the documentation of the city language of Braga, in Portugal.
- Professionalisierung von Anfang an im Jenaer Modell der Lehrerbildung (ProfJL)A project of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena.
- Rechtschreibgespräche: Kinder zum Nachdenken über Schreibungen heausfordernA project of the University Leipzig. Conversations between children about orthography are recorded and transcribed, for further analysis.
- Reference Corpus of Contemporary Portuguese (CRPC)A large electronic corpus of European Portuguese and other varieties (Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, S. Tome and Principe, Goa, Macao and East-Timor). EXMARaLDA is used for the spoken part of the corpus.

- Segmentation of Oral Corpora (SegCor)
